Please Note:
Again there have been questions raised as to the costs being paid for the cruise drawn March 16, 2013 from funds generated. This cruise was 100% donated by Susan MacKay and no money is or has been used to cover any costs associated with it.

Since early 2010, the start of Whales and Dolphins BC, till January 2013 all costs and efforts were borne completely by founder Susan MacKay. Her wish to improve and keep the sightings reports and web site available to everyone while obtaining some help with ongoing efforts and ensuring continuity, prompted the formation of the non-profit Wild Ocean Whale Society (WOWs).

We are entirely volunteer driven at this time, so there are no wages or salaries paid or payable. There will be no director fees paid ever, as stated in our constitution. We do, however, hope to have enough resources to hire a regular part time or seasonal employee to assist in the future.

At this time, we are calling out to committed volunteers and students interested in the marine biology fields to help.
